Cox Business Services deploys wireless connectivity in guest rooms, public areas and convention area of Tropicana Resort
HENDERSON, Nev. – Cox Business Services / Hospitality Network (CBS) the leading provider of in-room guest video and data technology services to the hotel-gaming industry, today announced its selection by the Tropicana Resort & Casino for deployment of wireless Internet connectivity across the entire resort including guest rooms, public areas and convention area. An extension of the current CBS contract to provide guest room video on demand services was also approved by the resort.

Desktops, laptops, handheld devices and personal digital assistants with built-in wi-fi capability will be able to connect wirelessly in each of the resort’s 1,878 guest rooms and 105,000 square feet of meeting space. CBS already provides guest rooms with video-on-demand services that include free-to-guest cable television with news, sports and entertainment programming as well as Hollywood hit movies, television favorites and other viewing content.
CBS recently received the highest honors in J.D. Power and Associates’ 2006 Major Provider Business Telecommunications Services Study for highest customer satisfaction among small/midsize business data service providers.
